Y&D Premiers First Virtual Brief Advice Clinic with Legal Aid

Last week Yourkvitch & Dibo attorneys volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland to host a Virtual Brief Advice Clinic. This was Legal Aid’s first virtual format for the general brief advice clinic. The virtual clinic spanned three days, over which Y&D attorneys provided advice to clients regarding landlord-tenant, homeownership, consumer, bankruptcy, small claims, and other issues.

While Legal Aid's in-person first-come, first-served general brief advice clinics have been canceled due to the pandemic, the virtual format provides a new way of making legal services accessible. While Y&D attorneys missed the in-person interactions with clients, the virtual format allowed Y&D attorneys to provide the best advice possible in a limited time after researching relevant issues and connecting with clients via telephone.
